Prostrations to Lord Vishnu, the Supreme Master of the universe, who is ever peaceful, who reclines on the great serpent bed and from whose navel, springs the Lotus of the Power of Creation. He is the Supreme Being who upholds the entire universe, who is all-pervading as the sky and whose complexion is like that of the dark rain-bearing clouds. This lotus-eyed Lord of Lakshmee has a beautiful form, which all the yogis are able to perceive through meditation. We pay obeisance to that One Lord of all mankind, who is the Destroyer of the fear of birth and death.
