The visible or manifested universe, which is seen and experienced, is simply energy vibrating at different frequency levels or energy in various forms. This energy is the source and sustenance, the sub-stratum of all creation, whether at the level of matter or spirit. When It is in a static condition or in a state of equilibrium, It is called Brahman. When It starts evolving into this creation, sustains it and withdraws it back into Itself, It is called SHATKI. This energy or Shakti, which esoterically, is our own inner divine potencies, is depicted as a female deity or DEVI - typically as the Consort of its counterpart male deity.
